Devsisters unveils CookieRun: Kingdom traditional crafts special exhibition

Devsisters is combining its flagship CookieRun: Kingdom intellectual property with Korean traditional culture through a special exhibition in Seoul. The company held a media preview on Jan. 22 at Ara Art Center in Insadong, Jongno-gu. The project was prepared over 2 years and completed through collaboration with 10 holders of national intangible cultural heritage and artisan artists. Devsisters said it plans to expand the exhibition beyond South Korea to the United States and other countries.

World's first AI Framework Act takes effect; industry watches closely despite focus on promotion

South Korea’s AI Framework Act took effect on Thursday, marking the world’s first comprehensive law covering both promotion and regulation of artificial intelligence. The government says it aims to build a trust-based foundation and grow the industry over the long term. Companies are closely watching rules on high-impact AI, safety measures and mandatory labelling of AI-generated outputs. The government plans to defer penalties for at least 1 year and limit investigations to exceptional cases.

KT holds AI camp in Busan to foster youth talent

KT said on Thursday it ran the 2026 AICE Future Artificial Intelligence Winter Camp with the National Busan Science Museum during the winter break. The two-night, three-day camp, held from Jan. 20 to Jan. 22 at a science education camp facility in Busan, drew about 100 participants from prospective elementary school fourth graders to middle school third graders. Students took AICE Future Level 1 and Level 2 training and tests, along with expert lectures, Q&A and an astronomy programme.
