[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Integrated communications group KPR has received a presidential citation from the government in recognition of its contribution to advancing projects marking the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.

The government selected 63 individuals and five organisations as meritorious contributors to the 80th anniversary projects, and KPR was the only private company among the award recipients.

KPR served as the agency for the “Operation and promotion project for the 80th Liberation Day public-participation commemorative initiative” led by the Liberation Day 80th Anniversary Promotion Committee under the Office for Government Policy Coordination, taking charge of overall communications.

It also worked to leave the outcomes of the commemorative projects as cultural assets rather than one-off events, including by distributing for free the “Lee Eun-sook typeface” produced based on independence activist Lee Eun-sook (이은숙) and her “Seogando Sijonggi.”

KPR CEO Kang-jin Kim (김강진) said, “It is deeply rewarding to take part in the meaningful national commemorative project of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day and to convey the meaning of Liberation Day into the everyday lives of each and every citizen.” He added, “We will continue communications that add meaningful value to our society, based on our founding philosophy of prioritising the public interest.”
