Korea Investment Securities posted an operating profit of more than 1.2 trillion won in the second quarter of this year.
Korea Investment Securities disclosed on Aug. 6 that its second-quarter operating profit on a consolidated basis was tentatively tallied at 1.21 trillion won, up 92.38 percent from a year earlier. It was up 26.08 percent from the previous quarter.
Second-quarter revenue was 12.90 trillion won, up 94.66 percent from a year earlier. It rose 12.60 percent from the previous quarter.
Profit from continuing operations before income tax expense was 1.30 trillion won, up 68.38 percent from a year earlier and up 24.71 percent from the previous quarter.
Net profit was 946.4 billion won, up 64.02 percent from a year earlier. The increase from the previous quarter was 20.61 percent.
Net profit attributable to owners of the parent was 944.0 billion won, up 63.92 percent from a year earlier and up 20.49 percent from the previous quarter.
First-half cumulative operating profit was 2.17 trillion won, up 89.05 percent from the first half of last year.
Cumulative net profit for the period was 1.73 trillion won, up 68.85 percent. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent was 1.73 trillion won, up 68.78 percent from a year earlier.
First-half cumulative revenue was 23.44 trillion won, up 113.62 percent from a year earlier.
