Mobilint to work with POSCO DX on NPU-based industrial AI development

Mobilint said on Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with POSCO DX to jointly develop industrial AI solutions based on AI semiconductors. The companies plan to combine AI chip technology and on-site operational capabilities to develop and commercialise solutions for manufacturing, robots, logistics and safety. Cooperation includes joint AI hardware development, proof-of-concept projects and technical verification, and building a collaboration framework. They also plan to shift AI infrastructure from GPUs to NPUs to cut costs and improve power efficiency.

Alibaba unveils Wan 2.7 image model with stronger personalisation, colour control

Alibaba Group said on Wednesday it has launched Wan 2.7 Image, an AI model specialised in image generation and editing. The company said the model addresses uniform styles and unstable colour output seen in existing AI image generators. It supports project-specific character customisation and precise brand colour reflection through a colour palette function. Alibaba also said text rendering was improved, with support for up to 3,000 tokens and print-quality output in 12 languages.

Kakao Mobility, Ajou University sign deal to train advanced mobility talent

Kakao Mobility said on Wednesday it signed a research cooperation agreement with Ajou University’s DNA Plus Convergence Department to foster talent in advanced mobility. The partners will jointly conduct mobility service and public contribution research using Kakao Mobility data and share research infrastructure. They will also share research results through internal and external channels and pursue industry-academia cooperation to train specialists, including workshops, joint papers and student internships.
