Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix to revise incentive rules as bonuses exceed salaries

South Korea's two biggest memory chipmakers are revising incentive systems after record semiconductor results. SK Hynix confirmed a 2,964 percent profit-sharing payout rate after posting its best-ever annual sales and operating profit. Samsung Electronics is reviewing additional rewards beyond the current 50 percent salary cap under its OPI scheme and has expanded employee options to receive part of bonuses in company shares with an added payment for a one-year holding choice.
