SK Shieldus said on Aug. 24 it has partnered with Elimnet to jointly 추진 an integrated security service tailored to medical institutions.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine SK Shieldus’ 24-hour Managed Security Service and Managed Detection & Response capabilities with Elimnet’s expertise in protecting personal information at medical institutions and its customer network to provide an integrated security service optimized for medical institutions.

They will continuously share information on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities targeting medical institutions and build a joint response system. Based on this, they plan to roll out security services linking personal data protection with security operations and monitoring, and threat detection and response, to raise medical institutions’ security response capabilities and the level of security in clinical settings.

They will also use each company’s customer network to jointly identify new business opportunities and expand cooperation on sales and marketing. SK Shieldus plans to strengthen the foundation of its cybersecurity business in the medical-institution sector and respond more effectively to security demand from medical institutions.

Kim Byung-moo (김병무), head of SK Shieldus’ cyber business division and a vice president, said cyber threats targeting medical institutions have evolved beyond simple data leaks to a level that affects continuity of medical services and patient safety. SK Shieldus will strengthen the cyber resilience of medical institutions based on its security operations capabilities and threat response expertise, and contribute to creating a safer digital healthcare environment, he said.
