Charles Hoskinson (찰스 호스킨슨), founder of Cardano, said social media interest around Cardano appears closely intertwined with the price trend of ADA.
On Aug. 22, blockchain outlet U.Today reported that Hoskinson made the remark on X in response to community reactions that no recent catalysts were visible around Cardano.
The exchange was triggered by a post from Adam Dean (아담 딘), a member of the Cardano community. Adam Dean wrote on his timeline that he did not see anything that could trigger a rise in Cardano, adding in a joking post that he would turn his attention to debates about GTA 6 for the next month. Hoskinson replied: "It's almost like it has always been connected to a token price....." He did not mention ADA directly, but it is interpreted in context as referring to Cardano's token, ADA.
ADA has recently risen. It is now above $0.2259, and its weekly gain is about 28.63 percent. ADA rose for 4 straight days last week to as high as $0.258, but met resistance in that range and edged lower.
A broader rebound in the crypto market was driven by changes in the U.S. Treasury market. As long-term yields fell, investors had room to unwind large bearish positions, and crypto posted one of its steepest rallies in recent months. ADA was also among the tokens that rose in that move.
Development work in the Cardano ecosystem continues regardless of online buzz. Intersect, which supports Cardano's technical development and governance, is pushing ahead with the Dijkstra hard fork based on an agreed schedule and is focusing on impact analysis of individual changes, protocol parameter settings, constitutional revisions and broader ecosystem preparation.
The Haskell node team, which develops Cardano's core node software, is also maintaining its 2026 implementation target. It is preparing a release candidate version while prioritising stability and quality. Intersect also stressed that it is focused on delivering a more complete version rather than meeting the schedule.
In the end, online attention around Cardano is sensitive to ADA's price, but ecosystem development is continuing regardless of market sentiment. A key question is whether the Dijkstra hard fork and node software development proceed as scheduled and provide new momentum for ADA's price and online buzz.
