Samsung Electronics to add Perplexity to Galaxy, boosting personalised AI experience

Samsung Electronics said on Feb. 22 it will add the Perplexity AI agent to its next Galaxy flagship device. The next model is expected to be the Galaxy S26 series. Users can call the agent using the side button or voice commands such as “Hey Flex” and carry out tasks without directly opening apps such as Samsung Notes, Gallery and Reminder. Samsung said its own survey found about 8 out of 10 AI users use two or more AI agents on mobile devices.

MSIT recruits trainees for Virtual Convergence Technology Academy

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said on Saturday it will recruit fifth-cohort trainees for its Virtual Convergence Technology Academy through March 22. The project-based program trains young talent for AI and virtual convergence industries and supports employment and startups. The ministry said the academy has produced 913 specialists since 2022. This year it will introduce a dual-instructor system and select 100 trainees aged 18 to 39.

Altcoin net selling hits highest in five years; $209 billion sold over 13 months

Altcoin selling pressure has climbed to its highest level in five years. CryptoQuant analysis showed the cumulative difference between buying and selling for altcoins excluding bitcoin and ether fell to minus $209 billion. The indicator was near zero in January 2025, suggesting balanced supply and demand, but net selling has continued for 13 consecutive months. Analysts say retail funds have mostly exited and there is no sign of concentrated institutional accumulation.
