Pixel Watch update supports tap to pay without Wallet app

Google has introduced an “Express Pay” feature through a major Pixel Watch update that allows payments without opening the Wallet app, The Verge reported on March 3. The feature applies from Pixel Watch 2 and requires users to enable it, with payment available after unlocking the device. The update expands payments from transit to retail, enhances Pixel phone integration with auto-lock and alerts, and adds Find Hub, new gestures and broader Satellite SOS availability.

Fig Security raises $38 million to develop solution that detects security stack changes

Fig Security, which provides a solution to help security teams respond to system changes, has raised $38 million in seed and Series A funding, TechCrunch reported on Tuesday. Founded by veterans of Israel’s Unit 8200 and Mamram, the company developed technology that monitors a security stack to verify key controls work properly and flags anomalies caused by changes. It plans to expand customers to 50 to 100 by end-2026.
