Anthropic to take legal action over Pentagon supply chain risk designation
Anthropic plans to take legal action after the U.S. Defense Department designated the company a supply chain risk, TechCrunch reported. CEO Dario Amodei said the decision was legally unreasonable and would be challenged in federal court. The designation follows escalating friction over control of AI systems. Anthropic opposed use of its Claude AI for mass surveillance or fully autonomous weapons, while the Defense Department said AI should be usable for all lawful purposes.

The global electric-vehicle market lost momentum in January 2026 as U.S. and Chinese tax incentives were reduced or ended, cutting plug-in registrations 6% from a year earlier to about 1.2 million, a report cited by Cleantechnica showed. Tesla’s Model Y remained the top-selling model with 53,074 units, down 7%, while Model 3 sales fell 47% to under 15,000. Growth remained strong in parts of Asia and some emerging markets as Chinese exporters expanded overseas.

Seven Korean game groups welcome Google's app market policy overhaul, urge early rollout
Seven South Korean game-related organisations welcomed Google’s plan to cut app market fees and allow external payments, and urged the company to implement the changes in Korea as soon as possible. The groups said lower in-app fees could improve developers’ profitability and be reinvested in new content and service quality. They also said expanded payment and distribution options could curb platform dominance, but criticised fee differences for new and existing members.
