The National Gwacheon Science Museum and the Korea Aerospace Administration will hold "To Space! Space Science Day" on Sept. 19, they said on Sept. 14.

The event was prepared to wish for the success of the Nuri rocket's fifth launch and to raise public interest in space science.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., centered on museum booths and the planetarium. At the museum booths, it will operate 15 hands-on programs for family visitors, including making a Nuri model, making an air rocket and building a Mars exploration rover. Organisers also prepared a "message wall" for writing messages wishing for the success of Nuri's fifth launch and a "Nuri stamp tour" in which participants complete missions while touring the venue.

At the planetarium, an expert talk concert will be held on space science and Nuri. Hong-gyu Moon (문홍규), a principal researcher at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, will lecture on "To the Moon, Mars and asteroids: We go with our own launch vehicle!". Yi-sang Yoo (유이상), a senior researcher at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, will speak on "How does Nuri reach space?".

Choong-won Lee (이충원), director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum, said, "We have prepared a meaningful occasion with the Korea Aerospace Administration for the success of Nuri's fifth launch, scheduled for Oct. 7." He said, "I hope it will be an opportunity for young people to foster dreams of space and for all citizens to cheer together the achievements of South Korea's space science."
