JB Financial signs MOU with UNICEF Korea on 'Project 169'
JB Financial Group will cooperate with the UNICEF Korea Committee to help guarantee basic rights for unregistered migrant children. The group signed a business agreement on March 11 in Seoul to jointly 추진 'Project 169'. Based on earlier projects with Siheung and Hwaseong, it expanded the programme this year to cover 8 local governments. Support will also include pregnant women, offering health checks, medical assistance, parenting education and tailored financial education.

Won-dollar exchange rate rebounds nearly 20 won on prolonged high oil price worries to 1,480 range
The won fell to the 1,480 per dollar range on March 12 as concerns increased that high oil prices could be prolonged due to the Middle East war. The exchange rate rose 17.8 won to 1,484.3 by 9:09 a.m. Oil prices climbed after reports of attacks on ships near the Strait of Hormuz and renewed Iranian emphasis on blockade intent. The dollar index rose and the KOSPI declined.

Samsung Asset Management launches Samsung Global 6G Growth Plus Dividend fund
Samsung Asset Management said on March 12 it launched the Samsung Global 6G Growth Plus Dividend fund to invest in companies with innovative technologies in 6G communications, including low-earth orbit satellites, satellite communications, optical communications and telecom semiconductors. The fund also includes global telecom operators that provide stable dividends. A manager said 6G is gaining attention as essential infrastructure for future industries such as artificial intelligence and autonomous driving.
