Woori Bank offers up to 3 percent interest on WONplus deposit for customers exchanging dollars

Woori Bank said on Monday it will run an interest-rate preferential coupon event for customers who exchange U.S. dollars they hold into won through the end of June. Customers who reach a cumulative $10,000 in won exchange between Feb. 1 and June 30 will receive a 0.1 percentage point preferential coupon for a WONplus deposit. The deposit offers up to 3.0 percent annual interest for up to 1 year, within 50 million won, as of March 17, 2026.

KB Kookmin Bank to build 143 'KB Small Libraries' nationwide

KB Kookmin Bank said on March 17 it plans to expand cultural infrastructure so people across the country can enjoy reading by building 143 'KB Small Libraries' by this year. The bank has created 134 libraries nationwide from 2008 through last year by using idle spaces. This year it plans to build 9 libraries using eco-friendly solid wood and will also remodel existing libraries and provide reading services through online and offline platforms.
