Shinhan Bank has expanded its Shinhan Talk Ticket service, which provides real-time queue updates via Kakao notification messages to customers visiting branches, to all branches. It also lets customers check waiting status without installing a separate bank app and pre-enter information needed for consultations.

Shinhan Bank said on Sept. 21 it has been operating Shinhan Talk Ticket at all branches since Sept. 1.

The service works by having customers enter their mobile phone number when they take a ticket at a branch, then receiving queue-order updates via a Kakao notification message.

While waiting, customers can enter consultation information in advance on their phones depending on the purpose of their visit. Tellers can conduct consultations based on the pre-registered information, improving how customers use waiting time and making consultations more convenient.

Shinhan Bank said about 20,000 people used the service through Sept. 18 after its expansion to all branches. About 70 percent of those users also completed pre-registration of information for consultations.

Shinhan Bank plans to improve in-branch consultation procedures in the fourth quarter, including introducing a pre-checklist for loan consultations at some branches and connecting customers to loan-specialist video consultants depending on the consultation content.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We will continue to improve the in-branch visit experience so that anyone can use financial services easily and conveniently."
