Microsoft Xbox Elite Series 3 prototype leak shows tiny screen

Photos of a prototype believed to be Microsoft’s next premium controller, the Xbox Elite Series 3, have appeared online, featuring a tiny built-in screen not seen in earlier leaks. The images also show a new pairing button and other hardware changes, and suggest designs that may support switching between consoles and cloud gaming. The device is marked “NOT FOR SALE,” and a Reddit user said it did not connect properly.

U.S. SEC considers creating regulatory exit for crypto projects, reviews securities registration exemption

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is considering writing a new rule that could allow early-stage crypto projects to raise funds without going through full securities registration. The SEC is set to discuss whether to propose a plan dubbed “Regulation Crypto” at an open meeting on Aug. 14. The approach would also examine a path for projects to exit SEC oversight if they meet conditions such as sufficient decentralisation.

South Korea's science ministry launches AI drug discovery hub, pilot in Daegu

South Korea will build an AI drug discovery research system that links AI models with automated laboratories to identify and validate drug candidates. The Ministry of Science and ICT said it launched a pilot task force in Daegu to operate an AI-based innovation hub for synthetic drugs. The approach feeds experimental results back into model training. Kyungpook National University leads the project with partners including its hospital, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation and Univab.
