Workday shares surge more than 25 percent on report of Silver Lake takeover talks; trading halted

Workday shares jumped more than 25 percent after a report that private equity firm Silver Lake is in talks to acquire the software company, CNBC reported on Aug. 13. Trading in Workday was briefly halted late in the session, the report said. Workday and Silver Lake did not immediately respond to questions. Google has launched a new AI model, Gemini 3.7 Flash, designed for coding and automation tasks, Reuters reported on Aug. 13. The company has not disclosed when it will release its flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro model, which investors have been watching as a test of Google DeepMind’s AI competitiveness. Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash offers a low-cost option for firms building autonomous AI systems and is priced below Gemini 3.6 Flash through year-end.

Securitize shares fall 16 percent after Q2 results miss estimates, tokenization revenue down

Securitize shares fell 16 percent in premarket trading after the company reported second-quarter revenue of $14.4 million, below Wall Street estimates of $20.6 million. Total revenue fell 5 percent from a year earlier. Tokenization revenue declined 12 percent to $7.8 million. Net loss widened to $21.7 million and adjusted EBITDA swung to a $5.5 million loss. Average tokenized assets under management rose to $4.3 billion.
