Nvidia acts as matchmaker for data centres in Nordics

Nvidia is reported to be helping connect companies that have secured its graphics processing units with data centre operators in Northern Europe, supporting AI infrastructure deals. Sources said it has sounded out Nordic operators and sought customers willing to pre-commit to buying or leasing capacity, sometimes without naming specific clients. CFO Colette Kress acknowledged some involvement in June, citing efforts to help secure land, power and buildings.

Former Ripple CTO says he accumulated lots of company stock early, holdings undisclosed

David Schwartz, Ripple's former chief technology officer, said he secured a significant amount of Ripple stock in the company’s early days. He made the remark on X after questions about the size of his retirement compensation following the disclosure of his XRP holdings. Schwartz did not disclose how much stock he owned, what price he paid or how much he still holds. Ripple’s valuation has risen in recent months.

Leisure exercise and physical labour show divergent links to dementia risk, study finds

Physical activity during leisure time may lower the risk of dementia, while physically demanding labour may raise it, a study found. An international team led by the University of Southern California analysed 74 studies covering more than 4.2 million people in 30 countries, followed for a median of 10 years. Leisure activity was linked to a 24 percent lower risk, while occupational activity was linked to a 20 percent higher risk.
