Netflix released a trailer for the drama "The Altruist" about the FTX scandal and confirmed its release date as Nov. 19, local time. TechCrunch reported on Oct. 8 that the series covers the stories of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, who were jailed along with the collapse of FTX.
The trailer features Anthony Boyle, who plays Bankman-Fried, and Julia Garner, who plays Ellison.
Co-showrunner Graham Moore said he was fascinated from the start by the real-life story of Sam and Caroline, adding that they were characters that would be hard to create even if someone tried to make them up.
Netflix plans to take a full look through the series at the FTX scandal and the two people at its center.
