South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy plans to ease tenant restrictions for industrial complexes and knowledge industry centers. It pre-published proposed amendments to relevant enforcement decrees, rules and management guidelines to rationalise location regulations. The changes would allow more sectors, expand the scope of knowledge and ICT industries and increase the number of advanced industries. The plan also broadens permitted ancillary facilities and clarifies rules for cafes, convenience stores and officetels.

Wi Soo-young, head of the HALO unit at AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud, said integrated security management across infrastructure, applications, databases and development and operations environments is central to cloud security. He said expanding multicloud environments are increasing attack surfaces and attack paths. At a seminar co-hosted with Wiz, speakers said fragmented findings make it hard to judge risk and set response priorities, underscoring the need to link assessment and remediation.
