Unsolved math problem cracked after 60 years with ChatGPT hints
A student without formal mathematics training drew attention after solving a problem that had remained unsolved for 60 years with help from ChatGPT. Liam Price (리엄 프라이스), 23, took a different approach from traditional proof-first methods, letting the AI propose ideas and then selecting and refining workable leads. Mathematician Terence Tao (테런스 타오) said people often started in a slightly wrong direction. The case highlights AI as an aid that broadens human thinking, not a replacement.

KOSPI sets above 6,600 for first time, closes at record high for second straight day
South Korea's KOSPI closed at a record high on April 28, settling above the 6,600 level for the first time on a closing basis. The index ended up 25.99 points, or 0.39 percent, at 6,641.02, marking a second straight day of gains. Institutions were net buyers, while individuals and foreigners sold. The Kosdaq ended lower. The won strengthened against the U.S. dollar.

K-AI Partnership launches to mobilise private sector capabilities
A private-sector artificial intelligence alliance has launched in South Korea, aiming to become a collaboration platform to create new business opportunities and new global markets in the AI era. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea AI & Software Industry Association held the launch ceremony for the K-AI Partnership in Seoul on April 28. About 150 companies and institutions, including AI developers and suppliers and demand firms in manufacturing and finance, are participating.
