Apple's Siri AI finally changes, works across iPhone, iPad and Mac

Apple’s Siri AI unveiled at WWDC 2026 is designed to understand personal context spread across iPhone, iPad and Mac and turn it into actions, an assessment said. Apple demonstrated new features in developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Goldengate. The demo highlighted cross-app workflows mainly within Apple apps, new interfaces by platform, source-linked answers and card-style summaries. The service remains in beta and is offered via a waiting list.

Financial sector overhauls security and consumer protection for AX era

As the financial sector accelerates an AI (AX) overhaul, digital risks such as hacking and voice phishing are emerging as key challenges. Financial authorities are moving to widen AI use by easing network separation rules, while calling for stronger internal controls and consumer protection to address security threats and increasingly sophisticated fraud. The Financial Services Commission held a meeting with major financial groups and related agencies to discuss responses, including upgrading a voice phishing AI platform.

SKT adds investment in Anthropic, joins Series H funding

SK Telecom has made an additional investment in AI model developer Anthropic by participating in its Series H funding round, the company said. SKT previously invested $100 million in August 2023 and initially secured about a 2 percent stake, which has since been diluted to about 0.3 percent after new share issuance. Anthropic is valued at about $965 billion, and SKT’s stake value is estimated at more than 4.4 trillion won.
