Bithumb raises bug bounty rewards to up to 200 million won
Bithumb will raise the maximum reward under its bug bounty programme to 200 million won, aiming to block potential threats in advance by working with external security experts. The company said rewards will be paid on a sliding scale based on the severity of reported vulnerabilities, and participants can conduct black-box penetration tests within a defined scope. Bithumb also revamped its privacy centre to disclose personal data handling and information security activities.

Genians shares bug bounty results as first-half reports rise 129 percent
South Korean cybersecurity company Genians said it shared the results of its security vulnerability reporting reward programme for the first half of 2026. It said the number of vulnerability submissions increased by about 129 percent from a year earlier, while reward payouts rose by about 1,046 percent. The company said it expanded its bug bounty programme from February to cover all products and services and accepts reports from white hat hackers worldwide.
