The Financial Security Institute will hire about 20 new employees for 2027, focusing on practical talent such as AI security specialists and white-hat hackers.

The Financial Security Institute said on Sept. 17 it will begin recruiting new employees for 2027 from Sept. 17. It will hire in three areas: Tech-Security, Offensive Security and strategy planning.

In the Tech-Security area, candidates will be selected through a first written test based on the National Competency Standards (NCS), a major test in computer engineering or information security, and first and second interviews. The strategy planning area will also follow procedures including the NCS, a major test in business administration or law, and interviews.

The Offensive Security area, which recruits white-hat hackers, will place more weight on practical assessments than on written tests. After a first theory verification test, the second round will assess simulated hacking and malware analysis in a hands-on format, followed by interviews.

Winners of hacking competitions and those selected for the Best 10 in the Next-Generation Security Leader Development Program (BoB) will be exempt from the first theory verification test and will receive extra points in the second practical test.

The Financial Security Institute said demand for specialised personnel is rising as security threats become more intelligent and diverse with the spread of high-performance AI technologies. Over the past three years, it hired 18 new employees in 2025 and 20 in the first half and 12 in the second half of 2026, and plans to select about 20 in the first half of 2027.

Applications will be accepted from Sept. 17 to Sept. 30, and final successful candidates will be selected in December after screening by area.
