DoorDash launches AI chatbot for ordering with prompts and photos

DoorDash has launched an AI chatbot, Ask DoorDash, that lets users order food, shop for groceries and search for restaurant reservations using text prompts and photos. The feature is designed to return results from natural-language requests instead of having users search and add items manually. It can find ingredients from recipe links and add grocery items and quantities from photos of cookbooks or lists, while also supporting reorder and recommendation tools.

Samsung Electronics, Harvard Medical School to study monitoring side effects of obesity drugs with Galaxy Watch

Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it will pursue a joint study with Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, to track physical changes in patients taking GLP-1 obesity drugs using the Galaxy Watch. The study will use the Galaxy Watch8’s BioActive Sensor and follow 100 adults starting weight-loss drug therapy. Researchers will compare a group using the watch for body composition and activity monitoring with a standard-treatment group, alongside DXA scans.

Eli Lilly\'s next-generation obesity treatment retatrutide may reduce fatigue, a side effect often associated with GLP-1 drugs, by regulating energy metabolism as well as suppressing appetite. Retatrutide is designed as a triple agonist that stimulates GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. This mechanism could promote fat and glycogen breakdown while boosting insulin and limiting blood sugar spikes. Gigazine said clinical data are not yet sufficient to confirm the effect.
