Bitcoin outperforms Nasdaq 100 over 60 days
Bitcoin has reversed its underperformance against the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 over the past 60 days, rising 2 percent while the index fell 3 percent. Over the past year, however, bitcoin fell 44 percent as the Nasdaq 100 rose 24 percent. Ether and Solana also posted gains over 60 days. Some analysts say the rebound is not yet proof of sustained capital rotation, citing thin spot liquidity and volatile U.S. spot bitcoin ETF flows.

White House engages industry as Clarity Act wavers and crypto market splits
The dominant theme in digital assets over the past week was the U.S. Digital Asset Market Structure Act, known as the Clarity Act. As the bill stalls, the White House and regulators expanded direct contacts with the industry. In South Korea, a revised anti-money laundering law takes effect on Aug. 20, tightening entry requirements. Markets also tracked bitcoin’s range near $63,000, sharp debate over its outlook, XRP weakness and growing won stablecoin proof-of-concept activity.

UBS reaffirms bullish view on Micron on HBM4 and AI demand
UBS has reaffirmed its buy rating on Micron Technology and kept its $1,625 price target, about 67 percent above the stock’s early trading price on Aug. 18. UBS argues that rising AI data centre demand, especially for HBM and high-performance server memory, could soften the memory industry’s boom-bust supply cycle. It also points to expanded long-term supply contracts and strong recent results and guidance, while warning the cycle could return if investment overshoots demand.
