XRPL tokenised assets expand; former Ripple CTO says RWA, stablecoins are growth pillars

Former Ripple Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz said the role of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is expanding from a payment-focused blockchain into tokenised financial infrastructure. He said XRPL now supports stablecoins, tokenised real-world assets and other issued assets. XRP community figure BankXRP cited rising indicators such as RWA market value and daily transactions, and said RippleUSD is operating on more than 40 blockchains. Data from rwa.xyz also showed increases in asset values, holders and tokenised assets.

Tokenus Investment CEO says XRP and XLM are his largest holdings, sees tokenisation market boom

Oliver Michel, CEO of German digital asset investment firm Tokenus Investment, said he holds the largest share of XRP at both personal and company levels, with Stellar Lumens (XLM) his second-largest position. He said finance is moving toward a multi-chain strategy and cited a DTCC-related patent document that included XRP Ledger and the Stellar blockchain as example networks. He also pointed to DTCC and the Stellar Development Foundation’s tokenisation project and recent RWA data showing growth on both networks.

XRPL overtakes Ethereum in RWA growth, reaching $400 million in 15 months

XRP Ledger (XRPL) is gaining traction in the real-world assets (RWA) market as its tokenised asset value expands rapidly, a report showed. XRPL took 14.9 months to grow from $10 million to $400 million in tokenised assets, faster than Ethereum’s 35.9 months for the same increase. Since the start of the year, XRPL’s tokenised asset value has risen 78 percent. Ethereum remains the market leader by size.
