Tether\'s gold token XAUT approved in Abu Dhabi, expands regulatory coverage after USDT

Tether Gold (XAUT) has been approved as a spot commodity in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), enabling regulated firms in the financial centre to provide services tied to the tokenised gold asset. The move follows ADGM’s acceptance of Tether’s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDt (USDT) as a fiat-referenced token. Data cited show XAUT’s total value locked rising more than threefold over a year, while firms plan additional uses such as loan collateral.

Securitize, Cantor Fitzgerald build U.S. regulation-based tokenised IPO infrastructure

Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald are developing infrastructure to support initial public offerings and follow-on share offerings based on tokenised securities within the existing U.S. securities regulatory framework. The companies are preparing a basic issuance structure for public markets that would allow companies to raise funds using tokenised securities. Securitize will provide tokenisation infrastructure, while its SEC-registered broker-dealer affiliate Securitize Markets will take part in offering and settlement. Cantor Fitzgerald will provide equity capital markets and trading capabilities.

Evernode CEO says tokenisation is only the start, assets must be managed on XRPL

XRP Ledger is evolving from a network that simply hosts tokenised real-world assets into infrastructure used for financial activity, Evernode CEO Ashish Birla said. He said the next stage of tokenisation is enabling assets to be managed while tokenised, not just issued on a blockchain. Birla cited RWA.xyz data showing XRPL’s RWA value rising from $900 million to $4.4 billion this year. He also pointed to Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD as an early example of liquidity concentrating on XRPL.
