Kim Se-woong appointed head of national AI service innovation taskforce

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT appointed Kim Se-woong, a former Kakao vice president, as head of the National AI Service Innovation Taskforce. The ministry said the new organisation aims to quickly develop and provide AI services that people can feel in daily life, shifting away from outsourcing-led development. The taskforce will have 61 members, including private developers and public-sector AI experts.

Encore, Bespin Global team up to target public sector AI market

Encore, an AI and data specialist company under SK Networks, said on Thursday it will work with AI services firm Bespin Global to expand in the public sector AI market. The two companies will jointly develop solution collaboration models linking their AI products, propose projects to upgrade AI agents for public agencies, and pursue joint sales and marketing. They plan to provide agent-based services built on high-quality data.
