Ford Escape discontinued; could it return as an electric vehicle?

Ford has ended production of its compact SUV Escape, drawing attention to whether the nameplate could return as a battery-electric model. Ford’s U.S. website says the Escape is “taking a break,” wording that does not explicitly confirm permanent discontinuation. Production of the Escape and Lincoln Corsair ended at a Kentucky plant that is being converted for next-generation EVs. Alibaba launches data centres in Netherlands, steps up push into Europe AI market

Alibaba Cloud has opened its first public cloud region in Amsterdam, launching two data centres as it accelerates its push into Europe. The company said the new hub is designed to support local data storage and processing for European companies, cut network latency and strengthen disaster recovery. It will provide a range of cloud services and introduce enterprise AI agent offerings. Alibaba also unveiled an updated Apsara Stack hybrid cloud platform.

Anthropic renames Claude top tier to Ultra, scraps 5-hour usage cap for verified accounts

Anthropic has renamed the highest-priced personal plan for its AI assistant Claude to Ultra and removed the five-hour usage cap for verified accounts. The $200-a-month Max 20x becomes Ultra and the $100-a-month Max 5x becomes Max, with prices unchanged and existing users moved automatically. Weekly limits remain. The new usage multipliers are based on different time periods, making direct comparison difficult.
