Microduck, a small bipedal robot introduced by Pollen Robotics, Hugging Face\'s French robotics unit, has sold more than 10,000 units shortly after launch. The duck-shaped robot is priced at $399, taking orders of more than $4 million. It combines Chinese-made semiconductors with open-source software and offers tools that let users train new motions in simulation and apply them to the physical robot, though its hardware design files are not open source.

Qualcomm Technologies said on Tuesday it has unveiled the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-2390 and IQ-2390 processors, highly integrated platforms designed to broaden access to intelligent edge computing across consumer, commercial and industrial segments. With growing demand for products that recognise and analyse data on-device, the company plans to extend AI, vision, connectivity and security capabilities to a wider range of connected devices. The chips target applications from retail systems and smart appliances to industrial automation and infrastructure.
