Korea Post, SMEs ministry offer up to 40 percent discount on export logistics costs
The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Korea Post said on May 19 it will jointly 추진 the 2026 post office international logistics service support programme with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Selected companies will receive up to 40 percent discounts on Korea Post international logistics fees. The SMEs ministry will also separately support 30 percent of international logistics costs, up to 10 million won. Eligible firms must have at least $10,000 in exports last year.

Overseas Koreans to digitise financial power of attorney, process directly at banks without international mail
Inconvenience for overseas Koreans who had to send powers of attorney by international mail to handle banking in South Korea is expected to ease. The Overseas Koreans Agency, the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute signed an MOU with eight financial companies to launch a digital consular-certified financial power of attorney service. The service will transmit certified documents electronically to banks and use a blockchain-based system to verify authenticity.

Korea postal customer centre reaches 200 million calls since 2003
South Korea\'s postal customer centre, which handles complaints and consultations for post office customers, has reached 200 million calls since it opened in 2003. The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service said on April 30 it shared operating results to mark the milestone and encouraged counselling staff. The centre provides consultation services for post office, parcel and shopping customers and handles postal service complaints including domestic and international inquiries.
