The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Korea Post said on May 19 it will jointly 추진 the “2026 Post Office International Logistics Service Support” programme with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Selected companies will receive discounts of up to 40 percent on Korea Post international logistics fees. The SMEs ministry will separately support 30 percent of international logistics costs for selected companies, up to 10 million won. Eligible companies are small and medium-sized firms with at least $10,000 in exports in the previous year, and they will be chosen through the ministry’s administrative process.

Applications can be submitted through an SMEs ministry notice from May 20 to June 5. Selected companies must sign an international mail service contract at their nearest post office.

Park In-hwan (박인환), head of Korea Post, said he hopes the programme will provide some help to small companies struggling with rising overseas shipping costs due to the war in the Middle East. He said the post office will continue to identify various win-win measures as a reliable logistics partner for exporting companies.
