KTis runs \'114 call a taxi\' service for digitally vulnerable groups
KTis said on Thursday it is operating a service that calls Kakao Taxi on behalf of digitally vulnerable groups such as older people. Users call 02-114, provide their departure point and destination, and an agent requests a taxi via Kakao T and relays the dispatch result. The service can be used by phone without installing an app or signing up. It operates daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. nationwide.

Shinhan Bank to run heatwave shelters at branches nationwide
Shinhan Bank will open its branches nationwide as heatwave shelters to help prevent heat-related illness and support local residents during the summer. The bank said on July 31 it will operate the shelters through Sept. 30. The move follows a business agreement with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to promote use of heatwave shelters. Branches display stickers indicating participation and manage cooling facilities and waiting areas.

KTis expands 02-114 lifestyle services from heatwave shelters to taxi bookings
KTis is expanding its 02-114 directory service to offer lifestyle support ahead of heatwaves and the rainy season. The service provides information on nearby heatwave shelters, late-night pharmacies, and companies offering air-conditioner repairs, dehumidifier rentals and flooding-related drainage and disinfection work. It also runs a taxi booking assistance service for older people who find smartphone apps difficult to use. Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
