Mastercard praises Ripple\'s RLUSD at XRPL hackathon

Mastercard publicly gave a positive assessment of Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD at an XRP Ledger hackathon held in New York. Blockchain outlet U.Today reported that Mastercard representatives reacted favorably while outlining partner pitch requirements. An XRPL community member posted that Mastercard praised RLUSD during the session. The 36-hour event focused on autonomous payments using AI agents and included more than $40,000 in prizes, with several firms involved in mentoring and judging.

Tamar AI expands Korea AI film creation ecosystem, wraps up AI video hackathon

AI creative technology company Tamar AI said it has concluded Arena Peak Asia, an AI video creation hackathon held simultaneously in Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo from Oct. 16 to 18. In South Korea, 40 teams produced AI short films over 32 hours, and team YAHO won a bronze prize in the combined judging across South Korea, China and Japan. Tamar AI will screen the winning works on Oct. 24 at Seoul AI Film Night.

KT holds 2026 AID-X Day to showcase group AX innovation results

KT said on Oct. 15 it held 2026 AID-X Day to share AI transformation (AX) innovation results and technology development experience. The two-day event, held at KT’s Pangyo building from Oct. 14, combined the existing AID-X Demo Day and AX Tech Connect. It featured exhibits and presentation sessions across business, innovation, work and technology, along with an AI hackathon. KT said it aims to spread shared results across the group and accelerate its shift to an AX platform company.
