Finance network separation rules eased, fueling 140 trillion won fintech investment

South Korea\'s financial authorities expanded the scope of eased network separation rules for AI use to secondary financial institutions and electronic financial business operators. The number of firms to be selected rises to as many as 15, and eligibility thresholds are lowered. Habit Factory joins SKT \'Everyone\'s AI\' to develop finance AI agent

Fintech company Habit Factory is joining SK Telecom\'s \'Everyone\'s AI\' consortium to develop a mydata-based financial AI service. The company will take charge of implementing an asset management and retirement planning service that combines mydata and AI agents, analysing banking, card, securities and insurance information along with retirement and personal pension data. The SKT consortium plans to build services using domestic AI models and launch them this year after an October beta.

Linkalpha hires former Coupang Pay CFO Na Hye-won as COO

Linkalpha, an AI-native financial intelligence company, said on Sept. 1 it has hired Na Hye-won (나혜원), a former Coupang Pay chief financial officer, as chief operating officer. Na previously worked at KB Kookmin Bank and Morgan Stanley and held COO and CFO roles at IT platform and content companies. Linkalpha plans to upgrade its finance and operations systems and strengthen organisational competitiveness as it expands globally.
