AI-native financial intelligence company Linkalpha said on Sept. 1 it has hired Na Hye-won (나혜원), a former Coupang Pay chief financial officer, as chief operating officer.

Na previously worked at KB Kookmin Bank and global investment bank Morgan Stanley. She later served as COO and CFO at IT platform and content companies, and most recently was CFO at Coupang Pay.

Linkalpha plans to use Na's appointment to advance its finance and operations systems needed for global expansion and strengthen organisational competitiveness. Na will oversee financial strategy and overall business operations and focus on building an operating foundation suited to the company's growth stage, the company said.

Linkalpha, an AI-native company targeting global public markets, is developing the Alpha Intelligence Layer to support financial market analysis and investment decision-making. It was founded around co-founders Hojun Choi and Chan-yeol Choi, along with former Goldman Sachs analysts, a MIT computer engineering PhD and people with UC Berkeley MFE backgrounds. It currently provides services to more than 70 financial institutions in the United States, Europe and Asia.

It has also strengthened its research capabilities by launching the Linkalpha AI Lab, which studies the reliability of financial AI, and by releasing a leaderboard analysing investment bias in major AI models.
