SKT adds family care feature to A.Dot Phone to alert guardians of suspected voice phishing
SK Telecom said on April 27 it will add a \"family care\" feature to its A.Dot Phone service to alert guardians immediately when AI detects suspected voice phishing during a call. Police Agency statistics showed 5,878 voice phishing cases in the first quarter of 2025, up 17 percent from a year earlier, while average losses per case rose 188 percent to 53.01 million won. Users can register up to 10 guardians, who receive alerts by push notification and SMS or SMS only.

Samsung Electronics adds remote monitoring to SmartThings Family Care
Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it has strengthened remote family-care functions through a SmartThings update. The update adds new features to the Family Care service, including Care on Call, remote monitoring and Care Insight, and links Family Care with Galaxy Now Brief. It also connects a reassurance patrol function using the 2026 Bespoke AI Steam Ultra robot vacuum cleaner. SmartThings information is also integrated into Now Brief across phones and will expand to TVs and Family Hub refrigerators.

Samsung Electronics has launched its 2026 Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner tailored for South Korean households, featuring up to 10W suction, AI-based navigation and a 100C steam sterilisation function. The company added Knox Matrix and Knox Vault security features and applied end-to-end encryption for captured images and video. The product comes in three lineups and includes subscription and expanded service support options.
