SK Telecom will tour universities nationwide to offer career counselling, mobile phone care and AI service trials.

SKT said on Sept. 28 it will run its 'Visiting Campus' program at seven schools nationwide from Sept. 30 to Nov. 4. Starting at Chungnam National University on Sept. 30, it will sequentially visit Chungbuk National University, Chonnam National University, Daegu University, the Korea Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy, the University of Seoul and Pusan National University.

SKT will run an 'Open Counselling Room' on each campus as a career counselling program. SK Academy coaching committee members will provide counselling on concerns students face in their studies, career planning and job preparation, and will also connect them with mentoring.

It will also run a 'Visiting Cafe' to hear students' opinions. Students who take part in an on-site survey will receive free coffee, and SKT will gather views on brand credibility, areas for service improvement and digital communication methods.

At an AI service experience zone, visitors can try A Dot Phone's recording, summarisation and safety features, as well as the T Universe subscription service. It will also introduce, in a game format, benefits aimed at customers in their 20s, including discounts at convenience stores and cafes.

A mobile after-service bus will also be deployed on campus. It will offer device checks, free replacement of screen protection film and cleaning services, and will provide guidance on AI safety services such as 'Family Care' and on the latest smartphone functions. SKT plans to reflect university students' feedback collected on site in service improvements.

Earlier, SKT carried out the 'CX Campus' project with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Productivity Center to discover service innovation ideas from university students. Some of the ideas proposed at the time were reflected in T Membership benefits and learning marketing.

Hye-yeon Lee (이혜연), head of SKT's Customer Value Innovation Office, said, "Visiting Campus is a place where we go directly to where young people are to provide practical value and listen to their voices," adding, "We will strengthen on-site communication activities tailored to the perspective of the younger generation."
