Chipmakers\' big two see combined Q3 operating profit near 180 trillion won, record high expected
Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are expected to post record-high third-quarter profits as higher DRAM and NAND flash prices lift memory earnings. Their combined semiconductor operating profit is forecast at 177 trillion won, industry sources said. Analysts see Samsung\'s companywide operating profit at 103.6 trillion won and its DS division at 104 trillion won, while SK Hynix is estimated to earn 73 trillion won. Currency assumptions and HBM4 shipments are also in focus.

ASICLand posts 5 billion won first-half operating profit, returns to profit
ASICLand said on Monday it posted first-half revenue of 113.7 billion won and operating profit of 5 billion won. Revenue rose 273 percent from 30.5 billion won a year earlier and exceeded its full-year 2025 revenue of 72.8 billion won in six months. The company swung from an operating loss and recorded net profit of 6.3 billion won, helped by new large projects, mass production and higher overseas sales.
