Grayscale seeks to convert Zcash Trust into ETF, targets NYSE listing

Grayscale is moving ahead with plans to convert its Grayscale Zcash Trust into a spot exchange-traded fund. It filed a fourth amended S-3 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. If approved, the product would trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH and be the first U.S. spot ETF tracking a privacy coin. The filing details largely cash-based share creation and redemption, and names Coinbase and BNY Mellon among key service providers.

MOEX to launch perpetual futures linked to bitcoin, ether in September

Moscow Exchange (MOEX), Russia\'s largest bourse, will launch perpetual futures linked to bitcoin and ether in September. The move comes ahead of Russia\'s introduction next month of new laws on digital assets and as the country speeds up the institutionalisation of crypto derivatives. MOEX plans to expand coin-based products to as many as 10. New rules taking effect on Sept. 1 broaden investor access, while limiting retail investment to 300,000 roubles a year per broker.

KakaoBank debit card cumulative payments top 154.9 trillion won as it expands payment services

KakaoBank said cumulative payments made with its debit cards have exceeded 154.9 trillion won since the cards were launched in July 2017 through the first half of this year. The company plans to broaden usage areas and expand payments into a core financial service. It also plans to launch new debit cards, including foreign-currency account-linked and foreign-resident-only cards, and will review applying new payment technologies such as stablecoins and CBDCs.
