Shinhan Bank launches savings product offering up to 9 percent annual interest, limited to 200,000 accounts
Shinhan Bank will introduce a one-year, flexible installment savings product offering an annual interest rate of up to 9.0 percent. The bank said on Thursday it will sell the product, called “Shinhan Savings 9-tier,” from Aug. 14 to Sept. 30, limited to 200,000 accounts. It offers preferential rates to customers starting savings with Shinhan Bank for the first time and to Shinhan Card users. Individuals can pay in up to 300,000 won per month.

RippleX engineering chief J. Ayo Akinyele (아요 아킨옐레) publicly asked Elon Musk to add Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD to X Money. He raised the question after receiving an X Money transfer from Musk and said XRP could also be added if Musk showed interest. X has launched X Money in the United States for invited paying subscribers and introduced a Visa-branded debit card backed by Cross River Bank.

Korea Post launches Pyeongchang Love Card
The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service said on Monday it will launch the \"Post Office Pyeongchang Love Card\", allowing Pyeongchang County local vouchers to be used through a postal debit card. The vouchers can be loaded at post office counters, the post office savings website, the Post Office Smart Banking app and the integrated local voucher platform Chak app. The number of local governments offering the service rose to 44.
