Naver, Kakao set to post record first-quarter results led by commerce and ads
Naver and Kakao are expected to post record first-quarter results, driven by commerce and advertising. Naver’s revenue is forecast to rise 12.8 percent to 3.14 trillion won, with operating profit up 11 percent to 560.9 billion won, led by strong commerce growth. Kakao is expected to report revenue of 2.01 trillion won and operating profit of 179.5 billion won, up 70.3 percent, on KakaoTalk ad growth and efficiency moves.

Google integrates Veo into Google Ads to auto-generate video ads from 3 photos
Google has integrated its generative video model Veo into Google Ads\' Asset Studio, enabling advertisers to automatically create customised video ads of about 10 seconds using as few as three photos. The tool is expected to be used mainly for YouTube and Demand Gen ads. The move is seen as pushing generative AI deeper into ad production, simplifying creation by mixing images, text and existing assets without specialised editing tools.

Naver introduces new integrated ad platform to unify search and display ads
Naver said on Tuesday it will introduce a new advertising platform. The company integrated search ads and display ads, which previously operated on separate systems, into a single platform. The new platform offers a dashboard showing campaign performance and key indicators on one screen, with detailed data by day of the week, time period and conversion type. It also introduces attribution conversion metrics, period comparison tools and a beta AI-based insights feature.
