AI use in games expands beyond dev tools to live services as policy support grows
As AI use in the game industry expands from development tools to live services, the South Korean government is moving to expand support and refine systems. At a policy seminar in Seoul, NC AI and Krafton presented AI applications in game creation and live operations, including asset tools, lipsync, esports forecasting, anti-cheat and an AI companion. The Culture Ministry outlined funding plans and work on a draft AI content promotion law.

Hana Bank to promote trust services for disabled people with On Yul
Hana Bank will work with non-profit group On Yul to promote asset management trusts for disabled people and to expand the adult guardianship system. The initiative aims to broaden financial and legal safeguards to help manage and protect the assets of socially vulnerable groups, including disabled people and older adults. The two sides also plan to develop a new type of testamentary substitute trust product to protect and manage posthumous assets of disabled people.

The Global K-Culture Economy Forum (GKCEF), a cooperation platform bringing together public and private experts from culture, arts and finance, launched on Tuesday. The forum aims to develop investment policies and systems to foster the K-content and platform industries and to revitalise cultural finance. Kim Jeong-seop was appointed as its inaugural chair, while executives from Ione Asset Management and IBK Industrial Bank lead its executive committee.
