[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Legal AI solution company BHSN said on Jan. 12 it has completed the build of AI:Yul, an intelligent legal AI service, with law firm Yulchon and has opened it.

The project is an implementation case in which BHSN’s multi-LLM platform technology, Allibee Astro, was optimized for Yulchon’s high-complexity legal practice environment. The companies have been moving to full-scale application of advanced AI in legal practice while going through a system stabilization phase since the service opened in late December.

According to BHSN, AI:Yul adopted a closed RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture to meet security requirements and access-control conditions for large law firms. Under the approach, AI searches and analyzes internal knowledge assets within an independent environment where data is not sent outside, and generates answers. All query and conversation processes are not used for AI training at all, ensuring security and trust for client information. It is organically linked with Yulchon’s existing authorization system to provide AI analysis results optimized by user permission level.

BHSN CEO Jeong-geun Lim said cooperation with Yulchon in digital innovation in South Korea’s legal market is an important milestone proving that BHSN’s multi-LLM platform Astro can meet both large law firm security standards and an expert thinking framework at the same time. He said BHSN will broaden the scope of practical use of legal AI and provide legal professionals with an intelligent work environment through a new version of Allibee that includes workflow-based generation functions.

Yulchon managing partner Seok-hoon Kang said it has become important to build systems that allow lawyers to focus on their essential capabilities as the legal market environment changes rapidly. He said he expects Yulchon’s expertise and its value of prioritizing client information protection, combined with BHSN’s technology, to create meaningful change in the legal work environment.
