BlackRock\'s IBIT outpaces Vanguard\'s S&P 500 ETF in cumulative return
BlackRock\'s spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has surpassed Vanguard\'s flagship S&P 500 ETF in cumulative returns since its launch in January 2024. Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said IBIT slightly outperformed over the comparison period. Bloomberg data show IBIT is up 71% since inception, while Vanguard\'s S&P 500 ETF gained 66% in total return. IBIT\'s assets stand at $61.4 billion, versus about $11.0 billion for Fidelity\'s fund.

LG HelloVision holds youth AI and digital content contest
LG HelloVision said on Monday it held the 2026 Proper AI and Digital Life media content creation contest with the Seoul Center of the Korea Communications Media Foundation and the National Information Society Agency. The awards ceremony took place a day earlier at Seongbuk Media Culture Maru. The contest drew 580 entries across categories including videos, card news and posters, up 54 percent from last year, and selected 14 winning works.

Bitcoin spot ETF inflows rebound, $487 million enters in two days
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds recorded a net daily inflow of $189.3 million, pushing cumulative net inflows in August close to $951 million. Ethereum spot ETFs also saw a net inflow of $71.5 million on the same day. The two-day net inflow totaled $487 million, more than half of this month’s total. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $143.6 million, while Fidelity’s WBTC added $23.9 million.
