SOOP to host 2026 Valorant Myeol-mang-jeon with Gen.G, DRX pro players
SOOP said on Wednesday it will host the \'2026 Valorant Myeol-mang-jeon Pro-Am\' through Feb. 22. The hybrid event brings together 12 popular FPS-category streamers on SOOP and eight players from the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific League. The tournament has a 15 million won total prize pool and will be played entirely online. Teams of five will compete in a single-elimination bracket mixing pros and streamers.

HP sees gaming PC market share rising to 40 percent by 2028
HP is integrating its OMEN and HyperX gaming brands into a single system led by HyperX, aiming to build a consistent ecosystem spanning PC hardware and peripherals. HP Korea held its first briefing since the integration to unveil new products and its gaming strategy. The 2026 lineup focuses on boosting CPU power and expanding OLED display options. HP expects gaming PCs to rise from about 30 percent of the consumer PC market to 40 percent by 2028.

Esports World Cup 2026 prize pool set at $75 million, lineup unveiled
The Esports World Cup Foundation set the total prize pool for Esports World Cup 2026 at $75 million and announced the full lineup on Tuesday. The event will be held in Riyadh from July 6 to Aug. 23, featuring more than 2,000 players from over 100 countries and over 200 clubs across 24 titles and 25 tournaments. The Club Championship carries $30 million in prizes, up $3 million year on year.
