Namutech wins security function verification for NCC-VDI virtual desktop solution
Namutech said on Monday its cloud-based virtual desktop solution, NCC-VDI (DaaS) 5.1, has obtained a security function verification certificate from the IT Security Certification Secretariat. The company said the certification recognises a centralised security operations model in a multi-hypervisor DaaS environment combining Nutanix and Citrix technologies. It said the certification meets public procurement requirements for entry into high-security sectors including public, financial and defence.

Coupang CISO says insider accessed private key for API; parliament questions possible DB breach
South Korea’s parliament intensified scrutiny of Coupang’s data leak after its CISO said an employee with a privileged role accessed a private signing key used for tokens. Lawmakers criticised the company for refusing to submit key security documents and raised concerns that the breach could extend beyond API access. Security experts also questioned Coupang’s handling of access rights. A committee chair warned that a hearing could follow if documents remain withheld.
