TechRadar reported RAM now accounts for about 35 percent of PC manufacturing costs, lifting replacement quotes and increasing price volatility. Firms are extending device lifespans, trimming upgrades, reviewing AI PC rollouts and exploring VDI and DaaS to reduce hardware needs.

Namutech wins security function verification for NCC-VDI virtual desktop solution
Namutech said on Monday its cloud-based virtual desktop solution, NCC-VDI (DaaS) 5.1, has obtained a security function verification certificate from the IT Security Certification Secretariat. The company said the certification recognises a centralised security operations model in a multi-hypervisor DaaS environment combining Nutanix and Citrix technologies. It said the certification meets public procurement requirements for entry into high-security sectors including public, financial and defence.
