Namutech said on Monday its cloud-based virtual desktop solution "NCC-VDI (DaaS) 5.1" has obtained a security function verification certificate from the IT Security Certification Secretariat (ITSCC).
The company said the certification recognises at a nationally accredited level its centralised security operations model in a multi-hypervisor, desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) environment that combines Nutanix and Citrix technologies. It said the company now meets public procurement requirements to enter high-security sectors including public, financial and defence.
Namutech said that, unlike other virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions that are dependent on a specific hypervisor or provide security functions as a separate option, NCC-VDI is designed with security as a basic part of the product structure. It said security policies can be controlled in bulk through a single console regardless of the hypervisor type, reducing management complexity and supporting a fast response to security incidents.
An official at Namutech's technology research institute said, "With our technological capabilities officially recognised for achieving security consistency even in multi-hypervisor environments, we will lead the security-focused DaaS market."
