Flare targets XRP and bitcoin DeFi integration to attract institutional funds

Flare Networks is pushing to expand its DeFi connectivity from XRP to bitcoin, with CEO Hugo Philion saying it plans to extend its FAssets technology to bitcoin via a wrapped token, FBTC. Flare aims to turn major cryptocurrencies that are hard to use directly in DeFi into programmable assets. It has issued more than 150 million FXRP and targets attracting up to 5 billion XRP within six months. Flare says its FCC confidential computing could reduce full disclosure of transaction information for large participants.

Korbit teams up with Red Cross to support descendants of independence patriots

Korbit is running a digital-asset donation campaign with the Korean Red Cross to support descendants of independence patriots. The company said on July 15 it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Red Cross and started the \'Remember 1945\' campaign. The campaign runs from July 15 through Oct. 15. Korbit members can donate in five digital assets, including bitcoin and ether. Donations will be used for the Red Cross support programme.

Digital Ascension CEO says XRP\'s growth engine is liquidity, raises stablecoin alternative case

A claim has resurfaced in the Ripple community that XRP\'s long-term value does not depend only on dominating cross-border payments. Digital Ascension Group chairman Jake Claver said XRP\'s biggest opportunity lies beyond remittances. A community member known as Eri pointed to Ripple\'s ODL using stablecoins as bridge assets via the XRPL DEX. Claver and Eri said liquidity could make XRP more efficient than stablecoins and broaden use cases.
