SpaceX wins $2.29 billion U.S. Space Force military satellite network contract
SpaceX has won a $2.29 billion contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a military satellite communications network, with a working prototype required by the end of 2027. The project aims to create a space data network backbone using low-Earth-orbit satellites and optical links to speed up and harden U.S. military communications. The effort is linked to Pentagon modernisation plans and the Golden Dome defence structure.

SpaceX to cut Falcon 9 launches as focus shifts to Starship
SpaceX is reducing the share of launches by its workhorse Falcon 9 rocket and reorganising its launch system around the next-generation heavy-lift Starship, an analysis says.
