SpaceX wins $2.29 billion U.S. Space Force military satellite network contract
SpaceX has won a $2.29 billion contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a military satellite communications network, with a working prototype required by the end of 2027. The effort is linked to Pentagon modernisation plans and the Golden Dome defence structure.

SpaceX to cut Falcon 9 launches as focus shifts to Starship

The shift is seen as a strategic change to expand Starship use for long-term projects such as Moon and Mars exploration, next-generation Starlink and space data centres, rather than a Falcon 9 performance issue. SpaceX is adjusting launch infrastructure in Florida and California to accelerate the transition.
