Vice Minister Gu Hyeok-chae discusses science and technology cooperation with Vietnam ambassador to South Korea

Gu Hyeok-chae (구혁채), first vice minister at South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, met Vu Ho in Seoul on Tuesday. Gu and the Vietnamese ambassador to South Korea discussed ways to promote mutually beneficial and future-oriented science and technology cooperation between the two countries. They reviewed follow-up steps after unveiling a Korea-Vietnam science, technology and innovation cooperation masterplan during Vietnam\'s state visit in April.

Trump pro-crypto push prompts U.S. SEC, Ripple to call for CLARITY Act passage

U.S. securities regulators, Senate Republicans and Ripple Labs have issued support messages for the CLARITY Act, a crypto market structure bill, pressing for action in the full Senate. The statements followed President Donald Trump’s post pledging to make the United States the world’s crypto capital and criticising former SEC Chair Gary Gensler. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the era of enforcement-driven regulation was over. The bill cleared the Senate Banking Committee 15-9.

UK AI Safety Institute warns GPT-5.5 cyber threat matches Mythos

Britain\'s AI Safety Institute warned that OpenAI\'s GPT-5.5 showed strong cyberattack capabilities in controlled research tests, including a 71.4 percent success rate on top-level tasks in a CTF evaluation. In a cyber range simulation, it achieved full autonomous success in 2 of 10 attempts. The institute said progress in reasoning and autonomy could lift capabilities across models soon. Red-team testing found ways to bypass safeguards, though patches were applied.
